My Son is being falsly accused of assault(slapping an x-girlfriend) This did not happen it was said to of happened at a time that he was home with ourselves, and his sister's, and a friend. The police were still going to arrest him because the girl said he did it, and her mother said she was the witness to the crime.
The police recommended that we file a restraining order against her, but they wouldn't put it through. After we left the court house she filed one against him and it was awarded.
She makes claims almost every weekend. We have had to move out of that complex, just to get away from her costing us $4000.00 for breaking a lease. We can't afford an attorney to go with us to court for the restraining order hearing.
I consulted an attorney, and was told not to give any more statements to the police. I need to know what we can do to protect him?
