I have a timeshare unit in St. Thomas which was damaged by hurricanes 2 years ago and, while being repaired (still), is not usable. However, we continue to get Timeshare Maintenance fees for a unit which we cannot use. We could trade it for another property through Interval International, but do not want to trade. Do we have to pay for a unit which is not available?

This should be addressed in your contract.

No one has to do anything, however, choosing to NOT do some things can cause greater grief than doing those things.

Bottom line, mate, no one can make you do anything.

However, someone can often make you regret NOT doing something.
