What is the law on vehicles you've sold and all of a sudden you've receive a court hearing on violation on the car you sold that no longer belongs to you? I've always thought once you turned in the white slip on top of the registration paper you are no longer responsible.

If the citations are "parking tickets" that precede the sale, you simply provide PROOF of the car's sale to the court or agency that contacted you.
