In 1999 my wife got caught at 87 in what I remember being a 75 MPG zone. At that time we were living in California and have since moved to Arizona. We ignored the ticket (my daughter and son-in-law are both cops in Northern California and suggested this) Over the years we had an occassional letter from the local magistrate with requests that we pay up or she would be reported to the local authorities. More recently every (3 months or so) we get a letter from some attorney in Texas, threatening us with the same reporting scheme. I figure this attorney is no more than a bill collector trying to intimidate us into paying up. I figure if the court wanted to report this to California (where we resided at the time of the infraction) or Arizona, they would have done so. Do you suppose there is any reason to worry about this 6 year old ticket?
