I'm basically trying to understand if I really even need to hire an attorney. I have a son from highschool, child support was setup by the Attorney General 14 years ago. I have been re-accessed a couple of times before...doing so without complaint. I just received paperwork to re-access my child support again. Is there really anything I can do to negotiate the amount since it was setup by the attorney general?

From what I understand, TX has been doing this automatically every couple years, without any filing from either parent. How long has it been since your CS has been evaluated? I have no idea if something can be negotiated. I doubt it, from what I understand the AG automatically starts taking the higher amount out of your check if it is garnished. Nice huh?

The form that I have is asking not only for my income, but all of my banking info, 401k info, even my wife's financial information. It's one thing to be re-accessed, it's another to be raked over the coals!
