My 18 yr old son just spent 6 hours in jail for an MIP, MIC and littering charge on the Guadalupe River. He said he passed the can under the tube to a friend and the officer accised him of sinking it, that;s why the littering chatge. He said they did not give him a breathalyzer. They said we had to be in court on June 22nd. We live 8 hours away. He is there on a Senior trip. Before he recieved his drivers license he was issued an MIP. My questions are, what is the punishment for a second MIP in Texas, what is an MIC and can we pay the fines without going to court?
