Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse Tennessee, First time offense, Possession of Drug Paraphranalia Misdemeaner Marijuana

I was stopped in one of the suburbs of Nashville Tn, by a Sumner County Sherrifs Deputy. I pulled out into traffic without turning my headlights on. I was stone cold sober at the time. After 20 minutes of interrogation, and passing 3 field sobriety checks, I gave them consent to search my Van. I forgot about a pot pipe that my girlfriend had stuck in the ashtray weeks before, and sure enough they found it. They took me to the county jail, and booked me, and then I bailed out. I was charged with a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and given a court date. What kind of sentence can I expect to be given. I have no prior record, and have only lived here for a couple of weeks.

Plea not guilty and lawyer up. Your lawyer MAY be able to get you a differed sentence. Good luck and you shouldnt have to much to worry about
