I am a small business owner and have had a customer sue me for a deer hide that was tanned 2years ago that he never picked up. The customer was called twice concerning the hide with no responce until resently. We went to court today and the judge gave the customer his deposit back and I have to pay court cost. I thought I would have not been required to hold his hide for this long. Is there a law regarding abandonment? I am in MI. Thank you for your help
