My husband and I leased a home with intentions to purchase one year later on November 8,2007. One week later the sewer line collapsed and the bottom was covered with up to 6 inches of raw sewerage. We cleaned as best as we could, but it took 3 weeks before the landlord sent anyone out to inspect. It was late December and hundreds of dollars spent by myself to remove the odor. The line was replaced, but they refuse to remve old sheetrock,doors,as well as damaged baseboards. On top of that,when it began getting cold,we realized the heating unit does not work. We have four young boys with asthma and don't know where to turn. As of January 18,2008, we received an eviction notice to vacate premises.
