Hello. I am a college student working on a research paper that deals with perceived imbalances in punishments between white and blue-collar crimes. I am taking a survey of forty or more people's opinions across a number of venues, and this site seemed a great place to start. Please post your opinions (whether based in legal fact or purely personal feelings). My definition of white-collar crime for this paper is corporate fraud and accounting schemes (Think Enron, WorldCom). Thank you for your time!
1 - Are White-collar crimes punished too lightly, too harshly or perfectly?
2 - If you were to reform the punishments, what changes would you like to make?
3 - Have you or someone you know been the victim of a white-collar crime?
Again, thank you for your input!
