my daughter is not married and is 19 years old.. my granddaughter is almost 4 months old.. she is not married to father of child.. they are now not together.. she can not afford a lawyer to make sure that her daughters father helps pay for expenses and back bills which have to do with the birth and living expenses which were put on credit card that is in my daughters name..things like formula,groceries,car repair etc. car is his. also regular child support.. i help as much as i can.. but also can not afford a lawyer to help with this.. what are our options to make sure that my daughter and granddaughter are taken care of especially child support. she is working but does not make enough to cover all expenses. is there away of handling this without the expense of lawyer.

some cities and counties provide legal assistance in these cases. Contact your department of children services or however it is called in your place and ask if they do, or if they can refer to a nonprofit organisation.
