She is 26 and was charged with shoplifting from a department store a year ago. It was her first offense. She was offered something called the DeNova Program (community service, only offered for first time offenders) and is almost through with the program. However, there were other shoplifting offenses that she was not charged for.
Is there a statute of limitations on how long they can wait to charge her?
