Hello,

I am starting a completely legal, companionship based escort service.

I am not sure where to start.

I live in D.C. and need legal advice.

I know I need to register my company. I will be the sole-proprietor.

I also know I will need a tax ID but how to I go about getting the forms for my clients (1099's) as independent contractors?

Where should I start? So I won't step on any toes (the law).

I am really confused and I am steadily researching daily.

I know I need legal advice, immediately, so I can move forward.

Thanks

An escort service - in DC - yes, you should seek good legal advice before setting this up completely. You can find out information concerning tax and 1099 forms from the link.

With regard to "stepping on toes" for escorts, there is nothing wrong with providing company for people who want a dinner companion. But let's be completely straight here - if you're thinking about extra curricular activities, you're treading a fine line.
