can i evict someone from my property, who never had permission to live there, without formal eviction procedure.

Is this person a trespasser?

If they are merely a trespasser, the police can be called and you can ask the person to leave.

If the person doesn't leave, the police can remove them.

This is used for a trespasser, ONLY!!!

That is a person that you don't know, that has set up on your property.

It can be used, if the police are willing, for people that won't leave after a party or allowing them to stay a night or two.

More than likely, you've got another type, the interloper.

Sorry, the ONLY way to evict anyone is by using the formal process, the legal process, the courts!!!

Evictions aren't only used to remove tenants, they can be used for "ex" boy/girlfriends, relatives, friends that won't leave, etc...

This explains the eviction process in Texas:

You need to give more information regarding the circumstances of how that person came to be on the property and how long they have been there, as well as how long you have known about it.

In short, yes you will most likely need to evict in order to do it legally, however there are things you can do to make staying there unpleasant in order to encourage them to leave. Don't change locks, cut power/gas, etc... but you can restrict/remove other conveniences to help get the point across.
