Speeding ticket in NC

I received a speeding ticket in NC for 52 in a 35 zone. Have not had any tickets in 29 years. Need to keep a good driving record for work. A friend told me a prayer for judgment does not prevent insurance points, only DMV license points. What is my best course of action: visit the DA to try to plea down,or hire an attorney and go for a prayer for judgment (never had one of these)? Thanks for help!
