I have a couple questions regarding alimony:

I am ordered to pay $600 per month, however my decree states my ex must pay for half the daycare costs and health insurance premiums. Can I deduct it from her alimony, or will that put me at risk of being garnished?

Also, same question, but in regards to bills my divorce decree said she was responsible to pay. If I had to pay them for her, can I deduct it from alimony?

Thanks,
Cory

This simple, all you have to do is OBEY the court order or the divorce decree.
Whatever you do, don't take any offsets.
If she doesn't pay her half of whatever she is supposed to pay, your remedy awaits in court, unless you want to take up the slack.
Last thing, if in doubt, ask your attorney, don't trust your finances to strangers.
