i met my spouse few months before our marriage which was in last mid September in MD and we pretty much hated each others right after that. she is resident of Maryland and i'm resident of VA. we have been leaving separately for a week now. is there a way we can do annulment. if not how do i proceed with divorce and whats the time frame for it. one thing though she carries her ex husband last name but they are divorced of course.

You will probably not be able to get an annulment in either state, so you will have to file for divorce.

Both states have residency requirements for divorce, so you will have to decide in which state you qualify. Both states also have required periods of separation before a divorce without grounds can be granted. In MD, I believe you must be separated for 2 years. In VA, I believe it's six months.

You can check all the requirements for both states on the sites below:

if we married in MD and she is a resident of MD. Do I have ot be a resident of MD as well? 'm not even a citizen...

No, only the petitioner has to be a resident. She can file in MD even though you live in VA.

I I have been married for 14 months in arkansas. And now he don't want me I was told I didn't have to work. So I didn't is there any way I can get support from him. I have bad health, no car to even look for work I'm 53

And/or file for disability.

UNLESS - and there's a reason why I'm mentioning this based upon the nature of this thread in particular (versus other threads on the topic) - you're ALSO not a citizen (as is the case with the original poster), and your spouse sponsored you.
