hello all,

unfortunately i made the terrible choice of judgement and got caught stealing at store name 3 weeks ago. the total came out to about 38$ worth of stuff. my mother had to come and pick me up and they had made her sign some papers and i signed as well. they said that i should be expecting a restitution fee very soon (that day) and left it at that. the police were not called and they did not arrest me or anything. i am 17 years of age as well.

my question is when do the restitution letters usually come in the mail? ive been waiting about 3 weeks now for it to arrive so i can just pay it off and get it over with.

and another question ; i had done a lot of research about what happens and i realize that your name gets put into some sort of retail theft database (something the man at kmart did not tell me about)
i currently work at a retail chain right now and am very worried about my job security.. i had been thinking whether or not i should tell my manager whether or not just to be honest and tell her upfront but i am not completely sure of what to do in my situation.. please help.. thanks

The letter of "Civil Demand" can take monts to arrive it depends. Far as database goes only subscribers may view this and you do not even know if store that stopped you is a subscriber

do you think it might just be better off leaving things unsaid?
everyday i go into work thinking i might be pulled into a room telling me im fired because they found out about that incident..
