We rented our house to a friend that has decised not to pay. We intend on serving him a 5 day notice tomorrow in hopes that he will pay and we will not have to pay to have him evicted. In the meantime, we are putting the house up for sale. If the house sells while his lease is still in effect, does he have any rights? His lease is up may 31st and we may have a potential buyer right now. Is his lease null and void once the new owner takes ownership?
