My jurisdiction is: washington

As a defendant in a civil matter I lost at arbitration and scheduled a trial de novo. So the award was "sealed" by the court clerk. While awaiting the new trial, "someone" gave a prospective new witness a copy of the sealed award and this person admitted to obtaining it. This doesn't seem right to me. Trial is coming up soon and this individual has since changed from friendly to hostile. Anybody got an opinion on this. Thanks.

Examine the witness under oath before trial, find out what evidence they will give at trial, get them to disclose how they obtained a copy of the award. If their evidence is damaging to you, seek to have them excluded.
