School Bus Stop-arm photo ticket

I received a photo ticket in the mail stating that I violated the law requiring motorists to stop when a school bus has the STOP sign extended. I just happen to have a dash cam that recorded the entire event and the STOP sign and red flashing lights were not extended until my car was physically passing the bus. Should I go to court to contest this, or am I just wasting my time. Thanks!

If you possess evidence which you believe will exonerate you, why not go to court and defend yourself?

The system may unfortunately be just wasting your time. But if you'd like to avoid points and paying a nice fine, you'll want to go to court to contest the traffic ticket. Dash cams can be incredibly helpful in fighting wrongfully issued traffic tickets and also for general auto accidents. I'm sure they will become standard issue on motor vehicles at some point in the near future.

Only you can answer this since only you know how valuable your time is.

If you do go be prepared to submit whatever evidence you have to the court and know that you probably won't get it back.
