My fiancees daughter was granted POA 14 months ago. Her mother is hospitalized with a broken leg She has stolen her mothers wallet and cleaned out her bank account. She refuses to return her ID,medical card, bank card and wallet. Her mother wants to revoke the POA as soon as possible before more damage is done. The problem is the daughter refuses to provide any information to make that possible.Would a newer second power of attorney in my name override the old one? Also if we were to become married tomorrow, would my rights as a husband entitle me to cancel the daughters power of attorney? Her mother and I have lived together for 17 years and some of the bills are in her moms name. The daughter has stopped mail delivery as well as cut off the internet, telephone and cable. We really need some answers before all of next months money is stolen too! Thank You

Have the victim contact the police.
The police can assist her with a solution.
Yes, she can give you a power of attorney.
In that POA, she can revoke the other POA.

Follow the instructions given on this website.
A new POA form can be obtained there, or from your local county court's website.

She needs to provide all financial institutions she deals with a copy of the revocation and should put a credit alert on with all 3 credit bureaus.
