I had my vehicle repossessed last week Wednesday. I talked to the Finance Company and figured everything out, paid and received the release papers Friday.
Now the repo company is not giving me my car unless I give them my car key so they can inventory all items inside the car. I have been trying to get advice all over the place but nothing helps. I have read that the repo company has 48 hours to deliver an itemized list to you with the inventory. But they have not opened the car as I still have the key.
I am in California and I do believe that this company has no legal rights to hold my car as I have the release papers and there are my personal items in the car. The 48 hours have passed and I want my car back. Any advise?
