Breaking a Lease Renting an apartment in a house that is in foreclosure

Me and my husband have a lease that expires in sept 2014. Yesterday we were served papers stating that the house is in foreclosure. We also did some research and we think the house is listed as a one family but there are tenants upstairs from us as well. What are our rights?

The foreclosure has nothing to do with you. Your lease is what matters. You are not required to leave unless you are evicted. Efforts to remove you early could be illegal. If you are asked to leave early, take the opportunity to demand a buyout for your trouble.
