Hello
I recently incurred a traffic stop in Illinois, and am currently being charged with driving on a suspended license. The officer reported that the reason for the stop was based on a license plate check that revealed the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license. My question concerns whether or not "reasonable suspicion" for the stop was satisfied according to this sole criterion. The vehicle is owned/registered by two owners, of which I am one, the co-owner. The other registered owner (who may have just as likely been operating the vehicle) has a valid driver's license.
