Trying to sue a Florida coporation in small claims court but the registered agent listed (on Florida's website) is no longer with the company. The company has not updated their records (and even the mailing address has changed).

I was going to use the name of the corporation president but the court clerk said that if I win a judgement I may not be able to collect if he is not the registered agent.

The president has filed recent documents for the corp. to use a d/b/a -- don't know if that makes any difference or does that makes him the registered agent.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Check the Florida statutes, but GENERALLY there is a law in every state that says if you can't find a registered agent, you serve either the corporation itself OR the Secretary of State.
