I was employed by a local business man who was in a financially difficult situation. As a friend to help him out with his financial problems, I loaned him, on a personal note, several thousand dollars. He has decided that he doesn't have to pay me back. What suggestions do you have that would help me collect my money from this man?
A second issue with the same man is after I loaned him this money he laid me off, and he also laid a woman in the office off at the same time, but then he called the lady back to work and gave her my job. Do I have any legal grounds for a law suit for discrimination against me?
