Other Immigration Law Refund from INS?

Hello,

My wife received her citizenship recently after having filed several times. The repeated fillings were due to the agancy "losing" her documents and records, resulting in er having to pay the filing fee multiple times. We have receipts for all the times these payments were made. Our question is, is there a process by which we may request those monies be refunded to us?

Have you tried speaking to someone from the agency to which you paid the money? I'm not sure why you didn't have the agency replace the documents before you paid the money and insist they arrange it done at no cost. Do be aware that you may spend more time and money to recover what you paid than it might be worth.
