I live in Maryland. I was recently terminated first for job abandoment. Once I e-mailed the medical director explaining my reason for missing one day of work without calling in (4/7) the reason was changed to poor performance. My recent evaluation given in Febuary will not support this claim.
My other distrubing concerns are others knew and told me I was being fired before I knew I was and that it came from another manager. Then finally, I received a letter stating my termination was to be on the 8 of April, but I was allowed to work the full day on the 9th. Do I have a claim?
