Trademark Quotes and Song Lyrics

Just had a question regarding a curious thought,

Can legal action be taken if someone uses a quote from a movie or short lyrics of
a song, with no permission yet still giving credit to the original source, as a means of educational purposes portrayed in a pictorial fashion pn the web while somehow
making money through ads, affiliates, ect.??

In other words, will making money off of quotes/lyrics be illegal if portrayed in an education fashion? If yes, is there a way to generate a small income while still quoting peope??

That would really help me out, thanks.

Fair use (google it) doesn't involve money.

You were OK until you got to the money part.

Money = Don't do it.

You will be sued back into the stone age.

Thanks for the reply, I see many youtube videos under the "motivational"
category who use speeches, songs, and video content in a short well edited video which
they clearly state is for educational purposes on the note section which I understand is
fair use but why would ads still be played before the video? Wouldn't that suggest that the youtuber has monetized the video and is now profiting off the edited video?

I don't know how ads work on youtube. They might have nothing to do with the person who posted the video, or they might.

Besides, don't be concerned with what anybody else is doing.

"Others do it" is not a defense. It wasn't when we were children and it isn't now.
