question about a felony

ok dunno if im at the right place or not but when i was about 18 or 19 i was arresting for some drugs and put on felony probation and im now 23 and finally off. Well now i wanna become a game warden or try to anyways, but it says you cannot be convicted of a felony and some other misdemeanors. Do i even have a chance what so ever...what exactly does conviction mean?

My understanding is that there is a difference and distinction made between a conviction and felony probation. However, the best place to go is to the job and find out from them the requirements as we don't know exactly what their rules require.
