Purchased a used car on Saturday 10/4 in Phila.PA, from a small dealer. Drove approx. 5 miles and car broke down, what are my rights ?
Is there a 3 day right to rescind ? buyers remorse rule ? etc ?
I called the dealer a talk to secratery she told me to have the car towed in.
I called back to find out out and got answering machine, I left message. Car
is now parked legally at location where it broke down. The dealer is closed
until Tuesday the 7th.

Thank you for any advice
matt

If you bought it as is without a warranty then you are likely out of luck. Most states have no used car protection. I doubt the 3 day rule applies here, plus you are not returning the car in the same condition as it was bought. You can raie a stink with the dealership and see if they are willing to fix the car out of good faith and to keep their good reputation. If they claim the car passed a point inspection you can bring this up buyt they are not in any obligation to help you. You can ask if they will take the car back and see if they will let you buy another one.
