After agreeing to handle the probate case after my husbands death my attorney, a friend of my brother-in-law, said he would charge me $600. Now, four years later he is suing me for $3700. saying he never made that arrangement. I would like to handle my own case.It would just be mine and my brother-in-laws word against his as there was nothing on paper. Are verbal agreements binding? What is the purpose of a propria persona hearing?

Okay, if you're asking if you can serve as your own attorney, yes, that is your constitutional right.
