Property damage

I have a small shop and yard where I keep all of my parts and supplies for my small buisness, located in Sacramento, California, USA. Next door to me is an empty, unkept, overgrown field owned by a very large company. Not long ago there was a vandalism, vehicle fire, on my neighbors property, and the fire traveled up the overgrowth along the fence line and damaged about $5,000 worth of my property. When I called the company to try and file an insurance claim, I was told that they are self insured and saw no reason why they would be heald liable, as they did not start the fire. I am wondering if I have any legal grounds to persue this, because for a small buisness like mine, it is devistating to lose $5,000 in products. Any help would be great.
