I have recently got 2 speeding tickets. They came 20 hours apart. I did a calibration that proves that my speedometer was off 12 miles at 75. For the second ticket I got a lawyer that obtained a prayer for judgement for me. I really don't know what this means ( other that no insurance or driver licence points). From what I've heard is a way of not being convicted but in the event that you repet yourself and do it again you'll get charged for the one that you've obtained a prayer for judgement also. Is this true? And if it is, can this affect my other trial for which I got a ticket before the one that I got a prayer for judgement for? If it doesn't but I still get a letter from DMV ( worse case scenario ) to hand over my licence do I have to start a trial since I got a PFJ for something that I've done after the trial that is still to come or a phone call or a letter to the DMV should solve the problem?
Thanks for any advice or explanations you might have for me.
