possible breach of contract

I made a reservation for a dinner party of more or less 100 people for May 9, 2008. The restaurant owner called me today asking if they can move the party at their other branch which is 45 minutes farther, much older place. I would not hold a party to that place. They said that they are planning to close down the restaurant starting this weekend because there is not a lot of customers coming. I know this is not true! They have a lot of customers. Besides, I made the the reservation 6 days ago, now they are saying that they are closing the restaurant in few days. That is such an abrupt decision. I told her they cannot do that because I already sent out the invitations.The owner then said that it is not a problem, our party will still be there as originally planned. Can I have her sign a contract just to make sure that we will have this venue on May 9? If so, what should be stipulated in the contract? Thanks in advance for any help.
