I was recently travelling to AZ from my home in San Diego on business. I was stopped at the border partol (Route 8) check where I was searched and cooperated in being cited for (~6 grams) of Marijuana.
The charge is posession of marijuana.
I am a medical patient under state bill 420/prop 215 in CA and have documentation to back me up.
Should I plead guilty? Not guilty? Bring my paper work and medical condition to light prior to seeing the judge?
I am very nieve to the court system and how it works. I am 24 years old, 1st offense and a clean record.
I am wondering what I can do to make sure they know that I am a medical patient and cooperative citizen, even though I know that their law does not honor my condition as being medical.
