Pleading My Case on a Recalled Vehicle

I wear heels every single day and have for close to 20 years. The only people who find them unsafe footwear are those who only wear them once in a blue moon. The shoes are not the problem. The problem is that you failed to stop at the stop sign. There was a design feature on your car which may have been partially responsible for making it more difficult to brake in time. Unlike a mechanical failure though, it was still due to operator error. True mechanical failures are more likely to be excused as there was nothing the driver could have done. Issues such as yours are more of a grey area. All you can do is explain it to the judge and bring documentation of the recall, and hope for the best. Expect to answer why THIS time you could not brake but every other time you could. I can almost guarantee the judge will ask.
