Hello,

I have a privacy/legal issue and a question.

This data broker website, locate-friend(dot)com, published my personal information online, and while I know this is technically legal, their form to opt out of their service is broken (it always errors with "The g-recaptcha-response field is required"), and they're ignoring all of my emails about my opting out and their form. I've sent multiple emails to them and the host of the site which is Amazon Web Services. All ignored. I've also spoken with companies like DeleteMe and they don't provide an opt out service for this particular site.

I'm not sure how to proceed with getting my personal info removed, I don't know who to talk to next, and I'm not 100% sure what my legal rights are here (I'm Canadian and the site is American, by the way). How would you suggest I proceed? Any advice would be appreciated greatly!

Thanks,

Someone who just wants his privacy and security

We discuss the laws of your neighbor to the south, the United States of America.

You'll need someone versed in Alberta provincial law.
