Corporate Law Partnership to sole proprietor?

My partner is leaving the partnership.
I am retaining the business name and existing contracts and continuing on.
My question is 'What is my best option, Sole proprietor or Incorporate or L.L.C.? And what is the process of changing from one designation to another?
The business is a 2yr old grounds service company in Ohio.

Have an attorney draw up the agreeement between you and the partner. Usually an LLC is the best way to go.
