My girlfriend is currently serving time in a county jail in PA with a tenative release date of Sept 18th 2009, with 6 months of parole after this release date. On her home plan she has listed that she will be staying with her father who is 69 years old. In her father's youth he had some run ins with the law and server some prison time however has had no problems in recent history and proven he is a responsible person. Now my question is, since his felony arrests were so long ago, will it effect my girlfriend being able to stay with him for her 6 months of parole. Bear in mind these offenses are decades old, nothing in even remotely recent history.
Also, what does the term "known felon" mean exactly. Is this someone who is currently a felon and has not been taken into custody, or just anyone who has ever served jail time?
