Page says I have 1 message

Ok near top right we all see "messages" mine says I have one message and I dont! I had one yesterday read it and deleted it. So why is 1 still there?

Usually the only time I told I am number one is with someone is showing me "the finger" lol

It shouldn't be there. Could be a cookie issue. I need to rebuild the database and that may clear the flag. Logging in and out usually helps.

PS - I'm having a consultant look at the login/logout issue. Drives me crazy and it's only vBulletin and not just here. Will let you guys know as soon as it is solved.

Ok other day the number 1 next to messages changed to 4. I went into messages it says I have 1 stored message not 4! this is a bit annoying as everytime I come on site I go to check to see if I actually have any messages or if this is same incorrect notification on forum page

Do you maybe have a pending friend request rather than an actual message?
When you are at your inbox, scroll down and find the Networking link on the left side of the page. If there is something pending there your message indicator might go away if you take care of that.
