I am an hourly employee in Kansas at a manufacturing job. They have set our schedule for 50 hours per week. They tell us because it is a set schedule and we agreed to it that they don't have to pay us overtime. Is this correct?

Thanks

No, it's not. Unless you qualify to be exempt, and if you are being paid hourly in a manufacturing job you are not exempt, you MUST be paid overtime at the rate of 1.5 times your regular hourly rate for any hours over 40 in a week.

A set schedule has nothing to do with it and under neither Federal nor state law can an employee legally waive their right to overtime.
