Overpayment of child support & alimony

I was wondering how do I recover the over payment of child support and alimony in the great state of WV? In 18 months time I have over paid by about $14,000 plus my ex wife makes 8 thousand dollars more then I do a year. Any help would be great. Thanks

Did the court order you to pay $14,000 during that time? If you paid it pursuant to a court order, it isn't overage.

If you somehow you had the $14,000 confiscated from you illegally over the past 18 months, you can petition the court to have the money returned. But, don't expect to see it happen without a fight. Even after the fight, you'll have to try and collect it.
