I was sitting at a red light at 1am going home. After the light turned green i accelerated to 30 mph, in a 35mph zone then started to slow to 25mph. I did accelerate a little hard, but not hard enough to squeel my tires, only 1/2 throttle or less in my nissan 350z. After being pulled over for 20 minutes, he cited me for exhibition of speed for $427. I wasn't speeding, there was nobody around to "show off" to or to race. Also on the ticket he said it was a highway that this was done on, but it was a in a residential area.
Is there a chance that i could get this ticket dropped?
