My wife & I signed an exclusive sale agreements for my 4room flat with a property agent who knocked on our doors 2 nights ago. We have been looking around for a flat & told him that we do have an agent that has been bringing us around. However, maybe because it was getting late (10pm) or he was persuasive, he asked us to gave him a chance to sign with him as we didn't sign any exclusive agreements with the other agent & we did just that.
Thinking back we regretted signing the agreement as we didn't want to be tied to a new agent for 90days. When we told him our decision, he put on a hard front & arrogantly said it is legally binding. Is there any recourse that we signed the agreement in duress or opt out of it? We haven't received a copy of the agreement we signed which he said would be mailed to us. The agent has arranged for valuation in another few days time & we are willing to pay for it.
