Opening an Online Retail Store - Reselling Brandname Clothing, is it legal?

Hi,

I'm wondering if it is legal to resell brand name clothing that I have purchased from various sources? I want to sell these clothes through an online blog that I am planning on opening up. I live in Alberta, Canada and I currently sell on ebay but would like to reach a bigger market and I just need to know if I am legally able to resell designer brand name clothing? I am also wondering if I require a business license to do this or if I need to pay any additional taxes?

There are many ways to resell things if you use your own business name and do not portray yourself as the original brand then it is legal to resell.

You might want to check into becoming a distributor for the brands you are wishing to sell, I have friends in the states that sell brand name items/clothing at malls and even flea markets but they are distributors so they get the items at wholesale and sell for street value
