I play in an online casino. Players receive a random amount of free chips daily to play with, and then you can purchase extra chips if you want to continue playing. The purchase of extra chips needs to be approved by you before the purchase goes through. When I was playing last year I was purchasing chips quite frequently and I still do occasionally. However, a few months ago I noticed that each day I was receiving 100,000,000 chips (which is a $99 purchase); I was receiving these without asking for or approving the purchase of, and I have not been charged for these as of yet.

My question is, when and if they realize they are giving me these chips each day, will I be liable for the value of them? I did not ask for nor approve the purchase of them so is there a way that I may be liable for them? -- I have used the free chips so they are not available to give back.

Yes, by using them you could become liable to pay for them. It is much safer to point out the error and get it fixed or at least explained.

Why didn't you say something to them when you first noticed this a few months ago. You "might" be responsible for them.
