My wife had a credit card that was sold to a collection agency, we haven't heard anything from them in three years, they now contacted us and told me they were going to sue her for the amount. Is it right that they never contacted us previous to giving it to a agency ? I now have two weeks to get up Five thousand $ but i am working part-time and my wife is on disability.
How can i check the Statute of limitations in my state ? What should i do ??
