Sex Crimes, Sex Offenders NY Sexual assault?

I was wondering what the statute of limitations on sexual assault were.

Almost 5 years ago, when I was in college, my roommate groped me in the middle of the night. There was a heated argument and then I moved out. There was never a police report filed or anything like that.

The fact you have waited so long, makes your story VERY skeptical. A Grope is not sexual assault, possibly some sort of attempted sexual assault, or battery, but you have a tough case to prove given the time that has past.

Very slim chance the DA would pursue this.

I figured it wouldn't be pursuable, but I was just wondering because I saw a picture of him online and I thought to myself "Why didn't I say/do something."
